The mountainous landscape of District 2 is dotted with villages, each with a rich mining heritage. Out of these mountains come the raw materials on which Panem's stands. District 2 has long provided the limestone, marble, and gypsum, slate, and sandstone of which our homes, buildings and monuments are crafted.

 

D2 is also the nation's center of defense, devoted to the protection and safety of all Panem citizens. District 2 trains an entire lineage of warriors who have earned their place among the Chosen Few, The Peacekeepers. The Peacekeepers are the foundation of Panem's ongoing security, with an unbreakable commitment in combat and in the community. 

 

 

This esteemed legacy provides the understructure of this district's warrior mind-set. District 2 is a perpetual Hunger Games victor, continuing to bring home the veneration of an entire country.
