Tributes! Are you sitting around wondering what you are going to do with yourselves as you wait the next YEAR for Mockingjay Part 2 (besides reading the series over and over again)? We at Panem Propaganda are putting together a series of book recommendations for our followers to get you through the long drought.

We'd like to kick this off with our first recommendation Angelfall by Susan Ee. Several of our staff have read and LOVED this book.

Here is a quick summary from Goodreads

"It's been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.

Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.

Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.

Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for suvival.

Together, they journey toward the angel's stronghold in San Francisco where she'll risk everything to rescue her sister and he'll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again."

Don't let the fact that that there are angels or the fact that it's told from a female perspective fool you, this is not a fluffy "fallen angel" book. It's a gritty, intense and compelling dystopia novel that both guys and girls will enjoy. I have personally recommended this book to about 5 different people and every single one of them LOVED it.

The second book World After is already on the bookshelves, the third and final book End Of Days is going to be released May 12, 2015. Perhaps, most exciting is that Angelfall has already been opted for the big screen. Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Spiderman, Oz the Great and Powerful), Rob Tapert and Good Universe acquired the rights. It's going slowly but it IS in the works! So as you sit around tracing the mockingjay symbol on everything and marking days off the calendar, go visit Susan Ee on Facebook and pick up her book, it's amazing!
