Molly Sun, February 10, 2013 Jennifer Lawrence was in London to attend the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) where she was nominated for Leading Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. Though Jen lost the Leading Actress BAFTA to Emmanuelle Riva, she gets our vote for Best Dressed (and pretty much everything else!)

Jennifer (wearing Valentino) hung out with co-stars Julia Stiles and Chris Tucker. She said of her Oscar nomination:
It's an unbelievable feeling to just look around at people who have been your heroes forever and to just be in the same room as them. The women that I'm nominated with really just make it so much more special just to think that I could be even in the same sentence as them."
Molly Mon, February 4, 2013 Jennifer Lawrence attended the Oscars Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles today. The annual event honors the year's Oscar nominees. She looked adorable (as always!) wearing a Chloe dress and Casadei heels.

What she's going to wear on Oscar night: "I'm going to wear sweatpants! Yeah, I've been thinking about it. We've gotten some sketches together, but nothing decided yet."
Comfort vs. fashion at The Oscars: "Last time it was comfort, and this year I'm like, 'Suck it up. Wear a corset!' I'm going to go for fashion this time. I say that, and . . . that's the problem with the Oscars. They're at the end, where you're exhausted from dressing up."
Her family's reaction to her nomination: "It's actually really calm in my household. I think that no one in my family fully absorbs it . . . They don't get it. It's very calm and I can talk about other things than myself in my house, which is great. Then the night of the Oscars, everyone just gets wasted and has a blast."
How she'll stay calm before the show: "Eating normally calms me down. I remember before the Oscars (in 2011) I was wearing that skintight dress and eating a Philly cheese steak and fries, and I was like 'this is definitely going to help.' And it didn't. I had to double my Spanx."

Jennifer Lawrence was presented with Outstanding Performer of the Year last night at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Jennifer said of her amazing year, “It’s exhausting and an honor. It’s an exhausting honor.” Here's a peek at her giving interviews on the red carpet at the Arlington Theater in downtown Santa Barbara last night.
Jen sat down in front of a 200+ audience with festival director Roger Durling for a Q & A. She reflected on her short but tremendously successful career. In her usual candid and hilarious fashion, she talked about her start in the business.
“I had never really thought of acting growing up. It was never really a possibility. Now looking back at it, I know that I was an actress since birth. Dressing up in different outfits. And I’d introduce myself as Lucille Ball. So now it’s starting to make sense.”
After a scout spotted her in New York on Spring Break, she and her mother met with agencies.
“In the car from the hotel to the modeling agency I decided that I didn’t want to be a model that I was only going to be an actress. And that I’d only sign with an agency that would let me act. And so I was turning down all these agencies and my mother thought I was an idiot.”
