President Snow's Throne Can Be Yours for $995.00

By now you've seen President Snow's Panem Address, "Together As One" (aka the Mockingjay teaser) at least a few times. (If not, check it out below). The stark white set and President Snow's imposing, ornately carved white throne added impact to the brilliant in-universe propaganda clip. One of our savvy followers found the throne used in the clip for sale online hand-carved out of, appropriately, MAHOGANY! Yes, really.

Capitol style does not come cheap. this little beauty will set you back $995.00. Check it out at elegantaccents.com. It comes in multiple colors and you can even get a zebra or pink seat. Thanks to our follower Michael (@luchus1 on twitter) for finding it!

The Capitol PN Releases a New Still of Peeta + Introduces Capitol Concerns

The Capitol PN added an eerie image of Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark to their formerly solo portrait of Donald Sutherland as President Snow. It was chilling to check the site this morning and see Peeta added! We're loving the way they're marketing this film. It's truly making us feel like a citizen of Panem, getting propaganda straight from The Capitol. And if you've been with us from the beginning and have explored our site, you know that's RIGHT up our alley.

The Capitol PN also introduced a new feature today: Capitol Concerns, "an open forum to submit questions, suggestions, and concerns for immediate review and timely resolution" from The Capitol and President Snow himself. We have a feeling that your concerns will be given the UTMOST attention. Perhaps after submitting your concern you'll be brought directly to The Capitol for further "discussion." Hmmm.

President Snow Addresses Panem (aka the 'Mockingjay' Teaser Trailer)

Panem Today. Panem Tomorrow. Panem Forever. Check out the loooong awaited Mockingjay Part 1 teaser trailer! A stark white set and a very serious Donald Sutherland as President Snow addresses Panem on Capitol TV. And look who's next to The Snowster! Hijacked Peeta! Well, maybe not quite hijacked yet, but Josh Hutcherson as Peeta looking more than a little lost, eluding to much of what's been going on since we left the arena in Catching Fire. Who didn't LOSE IT when Peeta looks into the camera on the last beat?

We adore that Lionsgate is going full in-universe propaganda on this teaser and we can't wait to see what they have in store for the rest of the campaign. Yay! We LOVE it!

Donald Sutherland on the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson + a 'Catching Fire' clip

Donald Sutherland stopped by The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night and introduced an extended look at the "Convince Me" clip from Catching Fire. Sutherland always gives such um, interesting interviews and takes crap from no one! He sort of reminds us of Honey Badger, Donald Sutherland don't give a sh**t! So enjoy the pot smoking, love-making, penis and clitoris talk from our President Snow. And check out the awesome clip thanks to THG Australia.

Costume Illustrations from 'Catching Fire'

Frocktalk recently spoke with Phillip Boutte, a costume illustrator who worked with costume designer Trish Summerville on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Boutte took Summerville's costume designs and used a hybrid of different mediums (hand drawing, photoshop, Corel painter and ZBrush) to make a rendering of the costume designs:

I can take a fitting photo of something and make it look the way it’s supposed to look.  Through photo manipulation and painting, I’ll do my sketch in the computer – I’ll directly sketch into the computer instead of using a pencil – and then I’ll start to fill in actors’ faces, block in big shapes, block in a basic silhouette and start to draw, based on the specifications of what the designer has given me.  From that point, you can make things look a lot more real.

Boutte didn't give us any new information about Catching Fire, but he did provide a look at some of the costumes. And they are all labeled by scene so we can see how they correspond to the Catching Fire movie stills and screencaps from the trailer.  You can read the full article HERE.
