The Mockingjay Part 2 Los Angeles Premiere

The PanemPropaganda staff were lucky enough to attend the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 on Monday, a blustery, freezing cold LA evening. The cast gamely walked the red carpet, greeting fans, signing autographs, and taking selfies despite the cold. I know it sounds crazy  - cold in Southern California  - but it was brutal out there! 

Due to the tragic events in Paris, all red carpet interviews and the planned MTV livestream were canceled. Instead, the cast spend time with fans along the carpet, then headed into the premiere and after-party.

We were inside the after party too. We'll post photos from that amazing experience asap.

Mockingjay Part 2 Los Angeles Premiere Will Be Scaled Down Due To Paris Attacks

The Los Angeles premiere for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 has been scaled back after the recent terrorist attacks in Paris.

Press interviews on the red carpet (which was scheduled to be two hours) have been canceled. Instead, the stars of the film — including Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks and Josh Hutcherson — will likely only greet fans and take a few photos before heading into the screening in downtown Los Angeles. The afterparty is still scheduled to be held at the event deck at L.A. Live.

"Out of respect for the very recent events in Paris, we have decided to modify our red carpet and we will not conduct interviews at Monday’s Mockingjay 2 premiere," said a statement from Lionsgate. "We will proceed with the rest of the event as planned in honor of the incredible fans who have always supported our films with such passion."

The MTV livestream has also been canceled 

This won't affect the fans experience attending the event. In many ways, fans will likely have even more opportunities for cast signings and access since they won’t be doing press interviews. We are here in Los Angeles now and the preparations for the red carpet and fan bleachers continue in LA Live as we speak.

New 'Mockingjay Part 2' Still of Peeta & Prim in J-14 Magazine

A spoilery new Mockingjay Part 2 still of Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark and Willow Shields as Primrose Everdeen was just published in J-14 Magazine. The still shows Prim and Peeta in the hospital in District 13, leaving many of us to speculate that Prim could be talking over the book role of Delly Cartwright in the film.

Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence and 'Mockingjay Part 1' Win Teen Choice Awards

Josh Hutcherson took home Choice Movie Actor Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Mockingjay Part 1 and Mockingjay Part 1 also won Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy at the 2015 FOX Teen Choice Awards last night in Los Angeles.

Josh gave a big shout-out to The Hunger Games fans during his acceptance speech:

“The Hunger Games has been a huge part of my life for the past… Almost 5 years now and it’s coming to an end, and it’s really sad. So if we wanna cry together, we can do that, and it breaks my heart, because these movies have been the best to me. The cast, the crew, this is like, 400 people that make every one of these movies, so, this award goes to them, because there’s a lot of people who don’t get recognition for their hard work; visual effects, special effects, hair and make-up, wardrobe, stunts, grips, electricians, everybody! So I share this with them, I share this with you guys, because throughout all this madness, the fans have always been the backbone, and made me wanna keep going. So, I appreciate it, and thank you guys very much.”

Jennifer Lawrence won Choice Movie Actress Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Katniss in Mockingjay Part 1 but didn't attend the awards.  

Willow Shields also attended the awards last night. She is turning into such a little fashion icon. Go Willow! 

Willow Shields and Amandla Stenberg at Teen Vogue's Back-To-School Dinner Party

Teen Vogue and Simon Malls got together to throw a dinner party in Los Angeles Wednesday night, fêting their annual Back-to-School Saturdays initiative. The Hunger Games stars Willow Shields and Amandla Stenberg reunited at the event, along with other young Hollywood stars like Kiernan Shipka, Bella Thorne and Bailee Madison.

Willow is one of the celebs heading to malls all across the country this month to fill you in on how to adapt runway style for the hallways. Pittsburg tributes can meet Willow this Saturday, August 8th from 1-4pm at the Mall at Robinson

'The Hunger Games' Wins Fandom of the Year at the MTV Fandom Awards

Tributes voted, tweeted, and tumbled your shipper hearts out, and now we can officially announce that your efforts have paid off!

The Hunger Games won “Fandom of the Year” at the 2015 MTV Fandom Awards. 

Well, technically Mockingjay Part 1 won - same thing to us! Willow Shields was on hand to accept the award for The Hunger Games at a show taped at Comic Con on Thurdsay night. 

The MTV Fandom Awards will air Sunday, July 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
