"This ish is exclusive"? Sorry, this "ish" is weak.
I love Lorde on her own, I think she is immensely talented...but I don't know what they were thinking with this song. The Hunger Games has no place for hip-hop or whatever you would categorize this as. It sounds like any generic song on the radio. THG is a deep, tragic, intense, incredibly dark series that has need for songs that match that tone.
I am writing an album based off the entire series, complete with a specific instrumental for each book, and about 4-5 songs committed to each book detailing important parts of the book. I hope to have it out before Mockingjay Part 2 comes out. If there is a big interest in listening, I will make it a point to release a song early for you guys and all fans.
I play in a band called Fall Like Rockets. We have a song called Liberators that was partially inspired by the series. Check it out!
so like, it's hip-hop-y but it's cool. it's different and fun, at least I think so.
Hmm that's not music that's just repeat repeat repeat of words.. I like lorde but she has failed THG :(
Nup. Dont like it... The music needs to match the mood of the movie. What were you guys thinking? Lorde you can do so much better :(
I LOVE THIS SONG ...
I like it. The mood of the song could be better and the name could be less similar to birdys song on the first soundtrack. But I think the lyrics describe the book well. This is coming from one of the biggest hunger games fans ever.
It's definetely NOT what I expected... For me it doesn't fit in any way to THG - the story, the whole thought of that book. I just hope that other songs would be better...
I don't even like it as an actual song, let alone as a song for the THG soundtrack. I don't know what they were thinking with this one.
What did I listen to? :( I love Lorde, but I got creeped out by her part in this song. And, all I heard were techno shizz, a few words, and that's it. I hope the others would be great, especially Charli XCX's
