The BBFC ratings website has offered a bit of new info regarding what will be on the soon to be released Catching Fire Blu-ray/DVD extras, at least the UK version.
There will be 5 deleted scenes, totalling 5 minutes in length:

I was lucky enough to attend a special SAG Foundation screening of American Hustle last night as a guest of the lovely Tiffany from Mockingjay.net. There was a Q&A right after the screening with Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper and director David O. Russell. We had 2nd row seats which had us hunched down in our seats to watch the movie, but were fabulous for getting up close to Jen and the rest of the panel.

Catching Fire has officially passed Iron Man 3 to become the top grossing film of 2013 in the US. With a domestic take of $409,392,651 as of January 9th, Catching Fire edges out Iron Man 3's $409,013,994.
If you're really into the numbers, Catching Fire has made $423,400,000 internationally thus far, for a total of $832,792,651 worldwide. Iron Man 3's worldwide gross still beats that at $1,215,439,994.
Molly Thu, January 9, 2014 The Newnan Times-Herald is reporting that Mockingjay Part 1 filming has resumed at the Caldwell Tanks in Newnan, GA as of today.

Just weeks before the release of Catching Fire, the film crew was at Caldwell Tanks building a coliseum set in the largest of the warehouse buildings. The first shoot began on Dec. 18, which only lasted two days. Today, the filming got underway again, though it is unknown for how long they plan to film. The set is obviously closed to the public.

If you thought Catching Fire was dark, you ain't seen nothing yet. In Mockingjay Part 1, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) endures more violent loss and personal betrayal when she reluctantly becomes the face of the rebellion seeking to overthrow the Capitol. Director Francis Lawrence, returning for the two-part finale, is undaunted by the challenge of adapting the last book in Suzanne Collins' beloved trilogy. "Even though it may be the toughest, and people view it as the bleakest, " he says, "it's the story that gives meaning to all of them."

Catching Fire has won a Golden Tomato from Rotten Tomatoes in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category. The 15th Annual Golden Tomato Awards honor the best-reviewed movies of 2013, and Catching Fire holds the #1 spot in the category with a Rotten Tomatoes fresh score of 89%.
Last year, The Hunger Games was the third best reviewed Sci-Fi/Fantasy film with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 84%.
