Liam Hemsworth on Gale: "His Stuff Is More In The Third" Hunger Games Film

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

HitFix sat down with Liam Hemsworth to talk about his upcoming film, Paranoia. They spoke a bit about Catching Fire and Liam talks about Gale and says that his "stuff is more in the 3rd one, actually."

From HitFix:

The Hemsworths, though, are just these two charming giants, Australian boys who obviously drank their milk. Liam's been working like a madman for the last few years, and I think it' s safe to say that at this point, the biggest thing he's ever booked was his role as Gale in The Hunger Games. In that first film, it doesn't really seem like much of a break for an actor, and I asked him when we sat down to talk about "Paranoia" if it felt good to finally jump in for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

After all, the new trailer for the film features what seems to be a pretty big couple of moments for Gale, and I seem to remember his character playing a larger role in the second book.

You'll see Hemsworth's response here, and it sounds to me like he really doesn't get to take center stage now until the third and fourth film. That's got to be tough as an actor, basically playing a supporting supporting supporting role while waiting for the future chapter of the story where you get to finally show everyone why you were cast in the first place.

Video from Liam Hemsworth's appearance on GMA

Liam on Jennifer Lawrence post-Oscar: "She's great. You wouldn't even know. Nothing has gone to her head over the last few years. When I first met her and worked with her she was full of life and brings such a great energy to set. When you're shooting tough stuff like the themes in Hunger Games it can be a little dark at times. She's got such a great energy about her and she's still that way."

Liam on Mockingjay Part I (which starts shooting in Sept):

"There's a lot more for Gale. Francis Lawrence did the last one and he's doing the rest of them and he's such a good director, such a great guy to work with and a really interesting person and I think he's doing a great job."

'Catching Fire' Unscripted: Submit Your Questions For The Cast To Moviefone

Moviefone is doing another one of their "Unscripted" Episodes with the cast of Catching Fire, and they want your questions!
From Moviefone:
Katniss and Peeta step back into the arena for the Hunger Games Quarter Quell, and this time they are up against some deadly competition, namely, the charming Finnick and ruthless Johanna.

To help prepare you for the November 22 release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, MOVIEFONE is doing something special. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Sam Claflin, and Jena Malone (that's right, all four of them) will be joining Moviefone for a very Capitol-worthy episode of Unscripted, and they're giving you the chance to ask the cast anything you want!

You'll have until Sunday, August 4 at 11:59 p.m. ET to submit questions. Leave them in the comments on Moviefone's post, on Moviefone's Facebook wall, or via Twitter using the hashtag #unscriptedHG. Make sure to head back to Moviefone closer to the movie's release date to see if the Catching Fire cast answered your question!

May the odds be ever in your favor.
