Scholastic is creating a new trailer for the book Catching Fire to coincide with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie's upcoming release (11/22/13 - in case you forgot!) They've just announced a way for YOU to be a part of it.
TTL (Through The Lens) released "Beyond Fire," the music from the Catching Fire teaser trailer, as a single on iTunes Friday. They talked with The Hollywood Reporter about writing the music.
The instrumental number "Beyond Fire," an epic, darkly toned track, falls somewhere between classical orchestration and EDM-tinged ambiance. The pair, who previously penned “Deep Shadow” for the first Hunger Games trailer, wrote the song with the film’s sensibility in mind.
“There's an extreme confidentiality around the trailers world so, except for a brief description of the plot, they don't give us a lot of information,” Tiffany says. “In the case of The Hunger Games trailers, we actually read the trilogy books to get deeper into the atmosphere of the story. While writing the music we got inspired thinking about the sense of sacrifice, survival and revolution present in the books. It was not too hard to get into this mood, since these are issues that we are living in now, in this moment of history.”

Willow Shields attended the 2013 Radio Disney Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on April 27, 2013 in Los Angeles, California. Our little Prim looks so grown up and beautiful!
Frocktalk recently spoke with Phillip Boutte, a costume illustrator who worked with costume designer Trish Summerville on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Boutte took Summerville's costume designs and used a hybrid of different mediums (hand drawing, photoshop, Corel painter and ZBrush) to make a rendering of the costume designs:
I can take a fitting photo of something and make it look the way it’s supposed to look. Through photo manipulation and painting, I’ll do my sketch in the computer – I’ll directly sketch into the computer instead of using a pencil – and then I’ll start to fill in actors’ faces, block in big shapes, block in a basic silhouette and start to draw, based on the specifications of what the designer has given me. From that point, you can make things look a lot more real.
Boutte didn't give us any new information about Catching Fire, but he did provide a look at some of the costumes. And they are all labeled by scene so we can see how they correspond to the Catching Fire movie stills and screencaps from the trailer. You can read the full article HERE.
People Magazine has a sneak peek at their 2013 Most Beautiful Women issue and - no surprise to us - Jennifer Lawrence is one of this year's Most Beautiful Women.
Of all the things everyone's come to love about the Oscar winner, one trait that tops the list is her healthy body image. When talking to Elle about her near-nude role in X-Men: First Class, the 22-year-old said, "I knew that if I was going to be naked in front of the world, I wanted to look like a woman and not a prepubescent 13-year-old boy. I'm so sick of people thinking that's what [women are] supposed to look like."
While Elizabeth Banks was at Cinema Con, she played a little poker and talked with Extra about Catching Fire. Elizabeth says Catching Fire is an upgrade!
It's amazing. It's almost like an upgrade. You really get to see the Capitol, the victory tour, the districts. It's world building in a bigger way. You really get to expand on it, it's not just district 12 and the games but all the districts, and the Capitol, and the hunger games. There's a LOT piled in this movie.
