Jennifer Lawrence Debuts New 'Do at the GLAAD Media Awards

Jennifer Lawrence showed off an adorable new haircut (courtesy of her stylist Mark Townsend) at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards held at JW Marriott at L.A. LIVE on Saturday evening (April 20) in Los Angeles.

And, believe it or not, Jen's new 'do even has it's own twitter account, @JensNewHair!

Jennifer took the stage with Silver Linings Playbook producer and Weinstein Company head Harvey Weinstein to honor Bill Clinton. While on stage, Jen referenced her Academy Award fall and then promptly flubbed Bill Clinton's name. She may be the only person in the world who can get away with botching a former President's name. We love you, Jen!

Liam Hemsworth Elizabeth Banks and Francis Lawrence at Cinema Con

Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, and director Francis Lawrence were on hand to present The Hunger Games: Catching Fire teaser trailer at Lionsgate's Cinema Con panel today. While no new footage was presented, we do know that the movie has officially wrapped, and the trailer will premiere in theatres in two weeks, ahead of Iron Man 3

Director Francis Lawrence revealed that he was still "furiously" cutting the film. Hemsworth kicked in a vote of confidence. "I know that he's not going to disappoint anyone," he said.

"I think we've actually been able to really ratchet up the emotion and the scope this time," said Francis Lawrence.

Keeping in the vein of Effie, her pragmatic, image-conscious character, Elizabeth Banks gave a nod to the studio's early marketing efforts.

"They're getting really excited," she said of Lionsgate. "They're kicking it into overdrive on this one."

Effie Wears Alexander McQueen

When the last Hunger Games Explorer image started to un-blur itself last Saturday, we thought the dress Effie was wearing looked an awful lot like Alexander McQueen:

Turns out our normally useless, totally random fashion knowledge is good for something! Alexander McQueen confirmed that the dress is indeed McQueen Autumn/Winter 2012. Effie Upgrade!

Jennifer Lawrence: The 2013 TIME 100 Issue

Every year, TIME Magazine presents its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, from artists and leaders to pioneers, titans and icons. Jennifer Lawrence was chosen for one of seven special cover editions. Academy Award winning actress Jodie Foster wrote about Jennifer Lawrence for the 2013 Time 100 Issue.

From TIME:

You’ll remember where you were when you first felt it, how you were stuck to one spot like a small animal considering its end. The Jennifer Lawrence Stare. It cuts a searing swath in your gut. A reckoning. I remember going to the cutting rooms of Winter’s Bone. I thought, Sure, this girl can act. But, man, this girl can also just be. All of those painful secrets in her face, the feeling that there’s some terrible past that’s left impossibly angled bone and weariness in its wake. She’s worn from the pain of living — something none of her characters would ever have the energy to articulate. It’s just part of her, like skin and muscle. The good news is that Jen, her good-humored, ballsy, free-spirited alter ego with the husky voice and a propensity for junk food … Jen, the spritely tomboy from Kentucky — that Jen’s got it together. A hoot. A gem. A gem with a killer stare.
