New 'Mockingjay' Set Photos & Video From Paris

We have our first glimpse at Mahershala Ali on set as Boggs (with the holo!), Kim and Misty Ormiston on set as Leeg 1 and Leeg 2, and a visual confirmation of Joe Chrest's long-rumored casting as Mitchell. Along with the rest of the Star Squad 451 gang: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer, Wes Chatham, Omid Abtahi, Michelle Forbes, Evan Ross and Elden Henson.

Obviously, these are all extremely SPOILERY so do not click ahead or view the videos if you are avoiding set spoilers!

Star Squad 451! 

Image thanks to @luna_luna02 on instagramThe Hunger Games fandom definitely got a much-needed resuscitation the last few days with all the incredible photos and video from the Paris Mockingjay set! Lots fans made it to the set today and got close enough to the action to get some amazing photos and video. Thanks to all of you! This is going to be very spoilery so steer clear if you are avoiding set spoilers. There were scenes filmed today featuring Star Squad 451, and in the photos you can see Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson (in his cuffs - Peeta!), Sam Claflin, Liam Hemsworth, Michelle Forbes (Jackson), Elden Henson (Pollux), Natalie Dormer (Cressida), Evan Ross (Messalla), and Wes Chatham (Castor).

The scenes were shot at Les Espaces d'Abraxas, a unique apartment complex in Noisy-le-Grand outside of Paris. The architecture is really spectacular and makes a great stand-in for part of the Capitol.

'Mockingjay' Poster Spotted & a "Glamorous" Hunger Games Party is Planned for Cannes

The Hôtel Majestic Barrière in Cannes is ready for Mockingjay! The front of the hotel is decked out with a beautiful Mockingjay statue similar to the set-up they had last year at the film festival. A Mockingjay poster was spotted hanging on the side of the hotel by FiftyShadesEN on twitter. They kindly shared photos of the poster which includes the text, "Le feu flambe d'autant plus vivement dans l'obscurité” that translates roughly to "Fire burns brighter in the darkness," the Mockingjay tagline that's been rumored for a few weeks.

Lionsgate also revealed to The Hollywood Reporter today that they have another huge Hunger Games party planned for the festival this year:

We’re a worldwide company, and it’s a big opportunity for our international distributors to actually hear what the worldwide plans are for the film, which opens in November. Cannes is the best publicity opportunity from an international penetration perspective.

'Mockingjay Part 1' Will Be Released on November 20th in the UK

The Hunger Games UK official twitter account confirmed today that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be released a day earlier in the UK than the US on November 20th, 2014.

Check out some fabulous Mockingjay set photos and video featuring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and a host of Capitol extras in what looks like the scene where the Capitol citizens are evacuating, and Katniss and Gale are making their way from Tigris' shop to Snow Mansion.

The 'Mockingjay' Cast is Making Their Way to Paris

Jena captioned this #musingsontheseine. From her instagramLooks like the Mockingjay cast have made their way to Paris to shoot the final installments of the The Hunger Games films. Jena Malone, Stef Dawson, Meta Golding and Wes Chatham have posted Parisian updates to social media and Josh Hutcherson was snapped with a fan on the streets of Paris. Liam Hemsworth, Evan Ross, Elden Henson and Chatham were spotted in the airport in Paris together yesterday.
