Peeta, Johanna, BEETEE! 'Mockingjay Part 1' Second Teaser Trailer: THE MOCKINGJAY LIVES!

The second teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, "Unity" is out today! The Capitol propaganda campaign continues, this time with a surprising appearance from Jena Malone as Johanna Mason and an awesome pirate transmission from Beetee in District 13!  Check it out:

Obviously, WE really love the way they're staying completely in-universe and playing up the propaganda angle. (We ARE Panem Propaganda, after all!) This is exactly what a ruler like Snow would do, right? Put on an opulent show of unity (with armed peacekeepers) while the country burns all around him. It strays slightly from the book by adding Johanna to the propos, but makes it all the more disquieting. Why wouldn't President Snow use everyone at his disposal to sell his false hope to Panem? And *SPOILERS* the pristine blonde wig, matching Peeta (and looking a little Aryan nation, eww) covering up what we know is her shaved head.

And what can we say about the perfect "pirate transmission from District 13" but THE MOCKINGJAY LIVES!! Go Beetee!

Wonder if we'll get another addition to President Snow's little puppet gallery in the next trailer? Will there be teasers for Unity, Prosperity and Sacrifice, the tagline from the first Panem address? What if Annie and Enobaria are added in the next two?

Let us know what you thought of "Unity" in the comments!

From day one the Hunger Games trilogy marketing campaign has been brilliant. It uses Capitol Propos to market the movies.

Omg! Speechless! Isn't Peet shaking his head? Isn't Johanna defiant?

We LOVED this teaser so much! If this little 59 seconds was so good, can you imagine how great the movie is going to be?

I've watched this so many times already and I can't get enough. The FEELS! I've noticed that around 0:16 Peeta moves his head quite a lot until around 0:22 or so. I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or not. But I feel like he's signaling something? Around that time is also when Johanna moves her arm. I don't know, theories?

YES, we noticed the head shake as well. Wondering if we're going to see Peeta breaking down more and more with each teaser?? It almost looks like he's either subtly saying "no" or losing it. I'll go back and check Johanna's arm. I didn't catch that one.

I don´t know why Johanna moves her arm, because I believed that she doesn´t like Snow. I love Peeta but I´m not like his in this part because later he liked to die to Katniss. I´m practice my english sorry if I not write correctly.

Maybe Peeta shaking his head is because he's trying to avoid the spike (yes, it's still there) or it could be because he just doesn't agree with Snow.
