Show the Love for Your #THGBFF + Enter The Giveaway - 100 Days of Mockingjay Week 2

This week in our 100 Days of Mockingjay celebration it’s all about your Hunger Games fandom friendships - your THG BFFs. Who is your THG BFF? Do you have more than one? A whole crew? Did you meet your significant other in The Hunger Games fandom? Get inspired by reading Kelly’s post about what THG fandom friendships mean HERE.

Within The Hunger Games books and films, there are many meaningful friendships and platonic relationships. Think about Katniss’ relationships with Prim, Rue, Cinna, Effie, Haymitch, Madge, her long-standing friendship with Gale. Katniss says, “I've never been very good at friends.” Yet those friendships help her cope time and time again.

There are a few THG BFFs within The Hunger Games cast too! We all know (and love) the special friendship Jennifer Lawrence, and Josh Hutcherson share. They are about the best thing to happen to any press tour, ever. Jennifer says of both Josh and co-star Liam Hemsworth, “They are my best friends.” And both actors have said the same of her in countless interviews. We'll also be celebrating cast friendships this week.

This week, show the love for your Hunger Games squad by snapping a photo and posting it with the hashtag #THGBFF and you might see yourselves in one of our #THGBFF galleries across social media.

You can also share your edit, gifset or fanart about The Hunger Games cast or character friendships and tag it #THGBFF. We'll share some of our favorites throughout the week.

My THGBFF is my sister.. I was so moved by this story that I got her to read it.. and we've been part of this fandom ever since.. being able to share this story and all the incredible messages within it with someone makes the experience so much better and I think it allows us to carry on the empowering meaning of this story Susan Collins wanted the world to see in which friendship and love play such an important rol and make Katniss and the rest of the characters keep going and fighting for whats right.

#THGBFF Me and my IG bestie met last year. We communicated then. What seemed to be shocking is...We are far from each other. But this didn't let us down being friends. We shared stories, pain, tears, and other things. We fangirled on THG. We talk about must of it all the time. Since then, I stayed with her when her friends leave her. I comforted her as what i can do. I do everything. She is like a mother to me. Not letting me be awake until 12 pm just to chat her. I want to meet her personally. But it's hard, all the money and stuff. She is a friend I wanted for. She understand me even if i'm immature sometimes. I love her like a sister. She's like a sister to me but blood. We fangirled over the epilogue, the trailers, the movies, and all about thg. She is a person you will love. I'm not lesbian. But i call it, Sisterly Love. Even if I'm from Philippines and She's from UK. We are BFF and communicate always.

Written by my friend Charlie.‪#‎HGBFFs‬ Daniel and I (Charlie) met at a youth group in our hometown, right from the start we were fast friends. When Daniel moved out of state he gave me his Mockingjay pin and ever since then I keep that pin with me wherever I go (or try to, I'm rather forgetful) and have recently taken to keeping with my keys so I know it's always there. Everytime I see something Hunger Games related I always think of Daniel, and if it's online I always share it with him. Hunger Games has kept us together, it always keeps him in my thoughts. My favorite book/movie is the first because it shows how easily your routine life can be changed in a matter of seconds, and it shows just how cruel the real world can be. My favorite character is Katniss because she cares so whole heartedly about her family and puts their wellbeing before her own and this something that I can relate to, I also love how she is a natural leader but does not initially like the idea of being a leader for the revolution. Daniel's favorite movie and book is catching fire because it shows katniss as a fragile warrior with everything to loose, family, peeta, ect. She's willing to sacrifice her life for theirs and its beautiful. Daniel's favorite character is Tigris because she's a raw example that people in the capitol are sick of the games too. He loves the hunger games because it shows that even when you are at your breaking point and everything bad that can possibly happen to you happens you can still remain strong and unbroken and they basically made him want to read. I love the Hunger Games because there so many layers to the story, there's a complexity to it, and there's so many lessons and metaphors that can be taken from it, I also love the connection that it gives to me to Daniel, he's an amazing friend who lives far away but the Hunger Games makes it feel like he's just on the other side of the arena.

My #THGBFF is my best friend Kennedi. We met two years ago when I moved to North Carolina and if it wasn't for that I don't think I would ever have a best friend like her or even a best friend at all (since making new friends isn't really a skill I have) but anyways, We love the hunger games! Although I have way more of an obsession ;)

My THG bff and I dont live close to each other anymore but we still talk all the time on the phone and I am thankful everyday that this series helped bring us together!!

Honestly, I don't have a #THGBFF. Nobody around me gets how amazing and important it is to me. They think it's just a movie. Nobody in my family has even read any of the books. I have made a lot of friends on Twitter to talk about it with though, which I'm grateful for.

My #THGBFF is my high school friend, Robin. We've known each other for so long, but over the last few years, we've grown very close. She recently started reading the books (after me telling her to do it for awhile), and it's been fun going through the journey with her.

I have two THG BFF! There's my friend Mario, who saw the first movie at my house and then read the books. He fell in love with the characters and the movie so we went to see CF and MJ together at the cinema :) I can always count on him when I need to freak out over something relate to THG.. which is awesome. Then there's my mum: she adored the first two movies! Really, she loved them so much that then she read the three books in a week. She's not a fangirl, of course, but she always want to see the trailers and posters and stills :) She loves Finnick, like a lot. And Johanna too. And she always talks about how great all the actors are. Also, she kind of understand and accept all the money I spend for THG.

When I had joined the fandom in 2012, I was so into this and I made HG friends until 2013/2014, I always thought if they would be other fangirls to join to be my friends then we did as a fandom to join on a lot of Facebook pages to share my edits or photos. To come this far, I think we came long time to make a fandom edit photos/ gifs from Tumblr. :)
