New and Final 'Mockingjay Part 1' Trailer to Debut Wednesday October 29

Tomorrow is going to be a big, big, big day! A new and final Mockingjay Part 1 trailer is set to debut tomorrow at 9:00am PT/ noon ET on Fandango.com as tickets for the film go on sale. Thanks to our friends at Jabberjays.net and QuarterQuell.org who have confirmed directly with Fandango.

'Mockingjay Part 1' Featured in Empire Magazine's December Issue

Empire Magazine has an amazing feature on Mockingjay Part 1 in their December issue. Check out the newsstand (above) and subscriber covers (below).

The issue will hit newsstands on Thursday. We've been asked by Empire not to post the article in advance of the magazine's release. But here's a preview:

Inside the issue, everyone from old hands Jennifer Lawrence to franchise newcomers Julianne Moore (playing District 13 President Alma Coin) talk about what to expect from the first half of the final chapter of the immensely popular post-apocalyptic series, and how the story has been tweaked to accomodate all that plot.

One preview we can share is a *SPOILER* for Mockingjay Part 2. 

There is, [Jennifer] Lawrence lets slip, one last scene to complete for the very end of the series, possibly featuring her nephews in roles we won’t spoil."

Jennifer Lawrence on Mockingjay Part 1 in Cineplex Magazine, "It’s a really great ending, and you guys are going to be pissed.”

Jennifer Lawrence covers November Cineplex Magazine as Katniss Everdeen and leave it to her to give the best quote, so far, about the ending/split of Mockingjay Part 1,

Oh God, I don’t want to tell you that. It’s a really great ending, and you guys are going to be pissed.”

Jennifer talks about her acting process, which, in her words, comes off a lot less pretentious than it sounds, and gives us a little insight into Katniss in Mockingjay Part 1.

Katniss wakes up in District 13, a District that she didn’t know existed, and her entire home is gone, Peeta is gone. So she really has to kind of rebuild herself from scratch. She’s had a nervous breakdown from everything that’s happened in the two back-to-back games, and losing Peeta.

On who inspired her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen:

I borrowed from men, mostly, who were quieter than me. Yeah, I know that’s a weird thing to say, but I never really channeled a woman for Katniss. I was the only feminine part of Katniss and I felt like that was enough because I’m not very feminine anyway.

And how the close-knit cast handled wrapping the franchise:

On the last night we all laid and held each other like puppies.”

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Experience in Mexico City

There's a really cool, interactive Mockingjay Part 1 exhibit right now at University Plaza Mall in Mexico City. The exhibit runs until November 22, hours are 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm and admission is free. At the end of the tour you get a Mockingjay pin and some temporary tattoos - how cool! 

This looks to be a taste of what Lionsgate announced back in May, "The Hunger Games: The Exhibition" which was to launch next summer. It's also has very similar elements as the Mockingjay Part 1 experience at Comic Con this year.
