Lorde Talks About Her Vision for Curating the 'Mockingjay Part 1' Soundtrack

Billboard recently sat down with Lorde to discuss her vision for curating the Mockingjay Part 1 Soundtrack.

"I was really interested in that because I love Katniss as a character," Lorde says. "I think she's so complex."

"It was really important to me with the soundtrack that people know how involved I was. A lot of that was me reaching out to people directly, having a conversation on the phone, sending an email, sending a text, because I wanted people to know that your song isn't just going to be flung into some pot and chosen later. I really cared about what was happening."

Other contributors she talks about are Grace Jones, Charli XCX and Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran, as well as Miguel and The Chemical Brothers, whose track with Lorde,"This Is Not a Game," dropped yesterday. New 'Mockingjay Part 1' Clip "Choice" Features Hijacked Peeta

Hold on to your hearts, tributes. The folks at Doritos provided us with a new clip from Mockingjay Part 1 this morning and its a doozy. Check out "Choice" for our first look at a battered and beaten Peeta and an emotional Katniss. And poor Gale, he's really not going to make people very happy today.

'Mockingjay Part 1' Premiere Event in Paris at Le Grand Rex November 10

According to our friends at The Hunger Games France, Mockingjay Part 1 will have a premiere event in Paris at Le Grand Rex theater on November 10th. Unfortunately, so far no cast is attending this premiere, but they will be broadcasting the red carpet from the MJ1 World Premiere London at the Paris event.

'Mockingjay Part 1' Original Soundtrack Tracklist Revealed

Today was a busy day for the Mockingjay Part 1 Soundtrack! Soon after the debut of the new track from the album, "This Is Not A Game" by The Chemical Brothers (featuring Miguel and Lorde) - listen HERE - the iTunes UK store posted the Mockingjay Part 1 Original Soundtrack tracklist and pre-order. It is now available in the US iTunes store for pre-order as well.
