100 Days of Mockingjay Week 4 - Hunger Games Cosplay & More #CCTHG

The Hunger Games obviously isn’t a series about fashion, yet fashion definitely plays a part in the narrative. Consider the role that Katniss’ Mockingjay suit plays in the rebel propaganda, the fact that one of the most beloved characters (Cinna) is a stylist, and another (Effie) is one of the most sartorially original characters ever seen on-screen. The Capitol’s obsession with the ever-changing latest styles and body modification are a reoccuring theme throughout the trilogy, visually illustrating the divide between the districts and The Capitol.

The Hunger Games books and movie franchise provide a rich spectrum of opportunity for the cosplayer, from District 12's spare and vintage looks to the full-on opulence of Capitol Couture. The wedding dress was my favorite, not so much the wedding dress but what it transformed into and the creative thought behind the dress. President Snow wanted to show everyone that she is on their side but when that dress changed so did the meaning and the battle. A smack in the face you might say. That would be a cool colds play dress but could only be transformed one time.
My favorite outfit was the Quarter Quell Arena tribute outfits.
I love Katniss' scarf most. She looks so beautyful in that!
Katniss' Wedding dress/Mockingjay dress is my absolute favorite.
My favorite would be Katniss's Mockingjay suit. It is incredibly intricate but not exactly eye catching, which is ideal.
My favorite Katniss outfits are her Quell Tribute Parade "flaming coal" outfits, both the book and movie versions.
My favorite outfit Katniss wore would have to be the wedding dress because
Cinna designed it before he left. The way it changed to show that she is the mockingjay was AMAZING! I love all of Cinnas designs because they all had a way to make the capitol think. The first dress that he made signified The Girl On Fire and that she was important.
Fav. costume is the suits the tributes wear during the games of Catching Fire

I really like the hunting gear that Katniss has in the movies, it appears so comfortable on her!
Choosing one is impossible!! It would have to be either the wedding/mockingjay dress or the Tribute Parade outfit Katniss used in the Quarter Quell.
I love the Catching Fire wedding dress, I'm hoping to have mine look like that when I get married 😂
I LOVED Effie's butterfly dress, Katniss' wedding dress (but I liked the mockingjay version more!) and I also loved Katniss and Peeta's chariot costumes in Catching Fire. Also Katnisa' mockingjay suit is literally perfection!!

I can't pick just one outfit really they were all phenomenal! But my two favorite Katniss outfits would be the yellow dress she wore after she and Peeta won the games in the first movie and of course the wedding dress in Catching Fire!! I loved the wedding dress and really want a dress that twirls into flames😂?
I love the cosplay for Effie omg I thought it was real!
I think all of Peeta's wardrobe in Catching Fire is my favorite. Trish did such a good job building off of Josh's own physique and making Peeta look like the dapper, suave dude that he is. I especially loved his reaping outfit, and my friends and I have been DYING to know who made the hoodie thing he wears in that scene.

My favorite Hunger's Game costume is Katniss's mockingjay suit in Catching Fire because it sends out such a strong message. Katniss later becomes the symbol of the rebellion aka the mockingjay and to have her wear a Mockingjay dress and have it air around all of Panem is influential and smart of Cinna.
My favorite outfit is the butterfly dress Effie wears to the reaping for the quarter quell in the movie.

I have pretty much more than one favourite dress! I like all of effies costumes and of course the wedding dress <3 but also the dress in the first film with the fire, at the show

One of my favorite costumes for Katniss is her Mockingjay outfit. I also really love her regular hunting clothes back in Hunger Games, with her father's jacket. And Effie's butterfly outfit was really pretty.
